Refugee Evangelism – $3,000
ASAP aims to multiply disciples of Jesus in the 10/40 window. In the Lake Union, they are reaching Karen refugees in Rockford, IL and Milwaukee, WI. Bible studies, home visitations, and assisting new arrivals with humanitarian needs allow them to build relationships that bring people to Christ. ASAP joined ASI in 1995.
FARM STEW International
Jinja Team, Uganda – $3,000
FARM STEW’s mission is to equip families with skills in sustainable agriculture, plant-based diet, sanitation enterprise and more. The Jinja team launched in Eastern Uganda in 2017 and reached its full capacity of 5 trainers in 2018. FARM STEW joined ASI in 2017; funds will be used for continued support of a trainer on the Jinja Team.
LU Conference Education Department
Kosrae School Gym – $2,500
The Lake Union Conference has been paired with Kosrae, an island with 6,000 inhabitants. The SDA school there has 50 students, of which 36 are from non-Adventist homes. There is a $75,000 goal for a gym that will be used by the school, as well as for witnessing opportunities.
Harbor of Hope, PMC
RISE UP Challenge – $1,000
Harbor of Hope started in 2003 as an outreach ministry of the Pioneer Memorial Church. They are leading a 13-week holistic evangelism initiative that covers relationships, health, finances, career & faith.
